The political context of the selection of the judges of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic Abstract The thesis deals with the political context of the selection of judges of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic. The research question is whether the Senate's rejection of the President's nominees is more a manifestation of political power or a corrective to the high moral and professional quality of the Constitutional Court judges. Along with this, the thesis examines whether it would be appropriate to change the current legal regulation of the selection of constitutional judges. The first part of the thesis initially summarises the previous academic reflections on the topic, which mostly pointed out the inappropriateness of the possibility of reappointing constitutional judges, together with the linking of their terms of office to the president's, and the somewhat haphazard approach of senators to the assessment of candidates. Furthermore, this part of the thesis contains a definition of the research question consisting in a narrow conception of politics in the sense of policy. The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of women in politics during the period of the Weimar Republic and the first Czechoslovak Republic. Subsequently, it discusses the situation in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. Specifically, it focuses on the issue of granting women the right to vote and their low representation in the legislative bodies of selected countries. It also analyzes the fundamental reasons why the representation of women in politics is low and several solutions to how this persistent problem can be solved. In addition to important women not only in the Czech but also in the German political scene, it also mentions personalities who con-tributed to the emancipation of women in both countries.

NÁZEV / TITLE: Vysílání ozbrojených sil se souhlasem parlamentu / Deployment of the armed forces with the consent of parliament Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the issue of deploying the armed forces of the Czech republic on foreign missions and similar events and with the role of parliament in the decision-making process. Its main objective is to analyze intentions of the creators of the current Constitution of the Czech republic in matters of deployment of the armed forces, but also can not omit matters that are in broader or narrower sense related to this topic, such as stays, transits or flights of the armed forces of foreign states through the territory of the Czech republic. In its first part, this diploma thesis provides a definition of basic sources and a definition of terms related to the topic of the thesis. In the next part, it discusses the historical development of the constitutional regulation in the territory of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic in the given issue and the possible influence of these historical experiences on the current form of the Constitution.
